Review
Drift Revolution is a drifting mod for rFactor. This small mod was created by Image Space Incorporated, the creators of rFactor. Released on December 2007, the mod was a Christmas gift from ISI to the rF community. And the gift was very well received. As expected from ISI the quality of this mod is top notch, even if it doesn't include that many cars. The mod includes 4 vehicles with a couple of skins each, and a new layout for the Euro-ring. The cars's livery resembles of those in the Japanese drifting competitions, adding more atmosphere to the mod. Drift Revolution also includes a couple of setups for some of ISI's tracks. This allows for a good balance while drifting. The game physics are great, giving you enough feel of holding the car with the throttle as you power through a corner. The main issue with the mod is that the amount of smoke you release can make your computer choppy, specially if there is more than one person drifting. But this can be fixed in the game options. ISI's gift is truly a great one, and that is why the rF community is very loyal to this game. |
